In 1984 Gary left the federal government and joined the number one government relations firm in the country as a Senior Consultant. For 10 years he worked for a broad range of national and multinational corporations as well as national associations. He represented clients in key areas on the legislative, regulatory and procurement fronts. Gary has advised clients on how to successfully navigate complex legislative and regulatory processes in the areas of transportation, health, oil and gas, telehealth, telecommunications, environmental regulation, financial services, high technology, economic development, international trade and government procurement. He is well versed in the ways of business and fully understands the complex public policy dynamic within the context of the federal government. In 1992 Gary was a founder of the government relations firm called the Industry Government Relations Group (IGRG).
